Terry discovered his knack for baking cakes when his wife Carol tried to bake a cake for their oldest daughter's first birthday in 1986. Carol soon realized she wasn't good at decorating cakes, so Terry took over and created a fantastic clown cake. Terry, a stone mason and builder, was made redundant in 1993 and had more time to practice his skills by baking cakes for friends and family. He joined the British Sugarcraft Guild, and won a Gold award in his first competition. He quickly realized he loved cake design and decided to make it a full-time job. Since then, he has won many National awards for his exceptional work. Carol, Carol's wife and baker, quit her job in 2005 to help him develop and grow the business. They moved into a Picton Road shop. Their youngest daughter, Leanne, joined the business in 2005. Leanne won awards for her outstanding work, and is now an integral part the business.
