Darren Carlow, a baker by trade for the past 20 years, opened a small bakery in North Beach, Christchurch in 2002. During the year, the business grew and developed so quickly that Andrew joined the team as a business partner to help keep up. demand and pressure of a successful business.
The bakery produces fresh bread, cakes, gourmet pastries and pies that are baked on site.

At Naked Baker, everything is done the old fashioned way to ensure a personal touch, using only the finest ingredients to ensure only the best flavors!

Celebration Cakes were first discovered in the early 70s by Mother & Daughter. They set up their business at Churchill Avenue, Manureva, baking and decorating cakes, selling decoration supplies, home baking and catering for local events.
About 20 years later, they decided to concentrate on the food service business and sold the decorating and cake delivery department to Ngayo (and Gary), a longtime employee.
In early 2007, Celebration Cakes outgrew the original store in Manureva and moved to 597 Great South Road in Manukau. February 26, 2019 we are now in what we hope will be our forever home - 376 Great South Road, Papatoeto :-)
